Our Doctors

Picture

Dr. Dan Davidson, DVM

(Partner/Owner) Dr. Davidson is a fourth-generation resident of The Dalles. After attending Oregon State University for his undergraduate studies, he obtained his DVM degree at Washington State University.  He joined our practice in 1978 as a mixed animal practitioner, and has special interest in zoo animal medicine, providing veterinary care for a small local camel, wallaroo, elk, and giraffe population. Over the years he has had many pets including horses, mules, donkeys, a crow, infinite cats, and a raccoon ("Bad idea," he says.) His wife Mary, and their three children have kept him busy, along with his wide range of interests. He studies theology, pursues wildlife photography with trail cameras, and enjoys traveling to meetings with his wife, especially to cities that allow them to include visits to their children, siblings and inlaws.

(Associate)   Dr. Robichaud ("Row-bi-show") grew up in northern New Mexico. She moved to the midwest to attend veterinary school at Michigan State University, and has been with the practice since 1993.  She is currently owned by two cats, Phoenix and Pie, and two goldfish, to whom she refers as "the white one and the orange one".  At the office, she treats cats and dogs and has a special interest in geriatric medicine and dental care.  Outside of the office, she participates in community theater, hikes, takes road trips, and makes and wears crazy costumes.

(Partner/Owner)  Dr. Morelos is from Escondido, CA and attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo where she received a Bachelors of Animal Science and a minor in Spanish. She worked as a veterinary assistant in her hometown clinic before attending the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a mixed-animal practitioner. Dr. Morelos, a fitness enthusiast, enjoys visiting her family regularly and currently lives with her partner Bekah, their dog Moxie, and three chickens who give fresh eggs daily. She loves learning every day and looks forward to meeting clients and their pets.

Our Staff

MaryJo Larsen, CVT

Picture

Mary Jo is a graduate of the first veterinary technician program offered in Oregon, and was licensed the first year the state required technicians to pass an exam to become licensed.  She was hired by Dr. Skov, the original practice owner of The Dalles Veterinary Hospital, in 1974.  She and her husband have many four-legged "children" - horses, dogs, cats, and multiple "grand-dogs" - in addition to their son and daughter. Mary Jo competes in dog agility, rally, and AKC obedience with her papillons. She loves riding horseback, especially at the beach, and enjoys reading, shopping on Ebay, and things that sparkle. She is especially excited to have recently become a grandma and loves spending time with her grandbabies.

Kathleen Pimley, CVT

Picture

Kathleen grew up in the midwest and graduated from Walla Walla College.  She began her career in the practice in 1979 with full time employment at our Bingen, Washington office. She has been at The Dalles Veterinary Hospital since 1996. She and her husband are "parents" to varying numbers of cats. Her interests include veterinary medicine, participating in and teaching sports, and travel.

Bethany Ayres-McManus, CVT

Picture

Bethany grew up in The Dalles and worked at The Dalles Veterinary Hospital as an assistant and on our kennel staff from 1995-1999.  She has a BS in Biology from the University of Oregon, and graduated from State University of NY-Ulster as a licensed veterinary technician in 2010. She and her husband, Dylan, returned to The Dalles from New York in 2015, where she rejoined our staff. She, Dylan, their son, Guthrie, and new daughter, Robin, manage and maintain a 16-acre farm and operate an Artists in Residency (printmaking) program. She enjoys hiking, camping, baking and reading.  They have two polydactyl cats, one dog, several chickens, and a cat Guthrie named Flowers.

Lisa Harding

Picture

Lisa's friendly face has been cheerfully greeting the clients and patients of The Dalles Veterinary Hospital since August, 2014.  She and her husband have multiple four-legged family members including four horses, two dogs, three cats, two rabbits, and chickens that they keep as pets and for fresh eggs.  Lisa is a full on health and fitness fanatic and when she isn't welcoming people and their pets to our hospital, she can be found snowmobiling, lifting weights at the gym, cooking, horseback riding, scrapbooking, watching Hallmark movies, and taking road trips in her RV.

Chad Lyddon

Picture

Chad has been a member of The Dalles Veterinary Hospital team since 2013.  He has one very large dog, Brownie, a German Shepherd/Labrador mix. Chad's coworkers speculate that he may have been born in the wrong decade, as his interests outside the hospital include Classic Rock music, working on classic vehicles, including his Camaro and Mini Cooper, and reading.

Diana Stanfield

Picture

Diana has been with The Dalles Veterinary Hospital since January, 2014.  She has an Animal Science degree and a wide range of experiences in animal care and training, including horsemanship and racetrack training.  She spent time with Critters of the Cinema, working with everything from ants to elephants to ready them for TV, movies, and commercials.  She was an assistant trainer of tigers for Great Cats of the World, Bridgeport Nature Center.  In her spare time, she rides her bike, her motorcycle, and she makes it her goal to try something new on a regular basis.
