Our Doctors and Patient Care Team
Dr. Dan Davidson, DVM (Partner/Owner) Dr. Davidson is a fourth-generation resident of The Dalles. After attending Oregon State University for his undergraduate studies, he obtained his DVM degree at Washington State University. He joined our practice in 1978 as a mixed animal practitioner, and has special interest in zoo animal medicine, providing veterinary care for a small local camel, wallaroo, elk, and giraffe population. Over the years he has had many pets including horses, mules, donkeys, a crow, infinite cats, and a raccoon ("Bad idea," he says.) His wife Mary, and their three children have kept him busy, along with his wide range of interests. He studies theology, pursues wildlife photography with trail cameras, and enjoys traveling to meetings with his wife, especially to cities that allow them to include visits to their children, siblings and inlaws.
Dr. Kimberly Robichaud, DVM (Associate Veterinarian) Dr. Robichaud ("Row-bi-show") grew up in northern New Mexico. She moved to the midwest to attend veterinary school at Michigan State University, and has been with the practice since 1993. She is currently owned by two cats, Phoenix and Pie, and two goldfish, to whom she refers as "the white one and the orange one". At the office, she treats cats and dogs and has a special interest in geriatric medicine and dental care. Outside of the office, she participates in community theater, hikes, takes road trips, and makes and wears crazy costumes.
Dr. Michelle Morelos, DVM (Associate Veterinarian) Dr. Morelos is from Escondido, CA and attended California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo where she received a Bachelors of Animal Science and a minor in Spanish. She worked as a veterinary assistant in her hometown clinic before attending the University of California Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. She is a mixed-animal practitioner. Dr. Morelos, a fitness enthusiast, enjoys visiting her family regularly and currently lives with her partner Bekah, their dog Moxie, and three chickens who give fresh eggs daily. She loves learning every day and looks forward to meeting clients and their pets.
Dr. Wallace Wolf Jr., DVM (Retired, Original Partner/Owner) Retired after forty years of veterinary practice, Dr. Wolf received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University. After serving in the United States Army from August, 1966 to August, 1968, he came to The Dalles Veterinary Hospital in October, 1968. Throughout those years, he provided veterinary care for the large and small animals of many, many families of The Dalles, and volunteered his time to multiple civic organizations and activities. His son, John, and his daughter, Mindy, grew up in The Dalles, and they are raising their children in the area as well, allowing Dr. Wolf and his wife, Vicki, to spend time with their grandchildren, Gillian, Emma, Mia, and Mead. Dr. Wolf continues to take care of his own pets, and he enjoys spending time hunting, fishing, boating, horseback riding, and travelling. When we see Dr. Wolf, he often says that since he's retired, he's busy enough that it feels like there's less time in the day! He will continue to very occasionally practice at The Dalles Veterinary Hospital.
Mary Jo Larsen, LVT (Office Manager, Veterinary Technician) Mary Jo is a graduate of the first veterinary technician program offered in Oregon, and was licensed the first year the state required technicians to pass an exam to become licensed. She and her husband have many four-legged "children" - horses, dogs, cats, and multiple "grand-dogs" - in addition to their son and daughter. Mary Jo competes in dog agility, rally, and AKC obedience with her papillons. She loves riding horseback, especially at the beach, and enjoys reading, shopping on Ebay, and things that sparkle. She is especially excited to have recently become a grandma and loves spending time with her grandbabies.
